President's Message

We can always count on Dr. Hover to give us the “meat and potatoes” concrete presentation that gets to the heart of the subject and is consistent with my stated goals for this season. And the dinner wasn’t that bad either!

As those who attended the Dr. Hover presentation know, I am very excited about our next event. On October 14th, we are planning to take a bus to the Lehigh Cement Plant in Glens Falls, NY, to tour the facility and see how cement is really made. It sure is an arduous process, and I think it will be important for all to see how this resource comes together to make one of the most commonly used building materials on earth--cement.

For more information, please see the event listing below or refer to the ACI CNY events page. PLEASE respond no later than October 8th, so that we may arrange for the bus and lunch. You won’t be sorry. This is another in-depth presentation that I know you will benefit from. Also, you will be able to tell your grandchildren someday that you went to a cement plant!

Thank you for the continued support of YOUR chapter.

Gary Markinson
President CNY ACI
